Avalanche Fundamentals and Rescue
This course teaches the basic principles of avalanche rescue, rescue operations and hands-on training with avalanche rescue equipment and transceivers. Upon completion students are qualified to participate in organized avalanche rescue operations.
This course meets the prerequisite requirements for Avalanche 2.

Avalanche Level 1
This course provides an expanded understanding of avalanche rescue techniques covered in Avalanche Fundamentals and Rescue with two full days of avalanche field work. Completion of this course will include backcountry travel at Mt. Washington New Hampshire and field work in Tuckerman’s Ravine. Upon completion students are qualified to participate in organized avalanche rescue and support avalanche rescue operations.
