1. 0900-0915 Welcome, intro's who we are, what we do
2. 0915-0945 orientation to the park system, rangers, fill out volunteer forms for the year, registration
3. 0945-1000 Our role in the parks, the events we cover, chain of command (Ranger > Event organizer > Bike patrol) Protocols. What we can say to contestants and what we can not do or say.
4. 1000-1015 Radio, cell phone and communications protocols
5. 1015-1045 First aid packs, essential items, what to bring, what consumables the patrol will supply, equipment.
6. 1045-1200 Orientation to the state park terrain. Review of Topo maps, TA areas, Evac routs, Map-Compass-GPS exercise.
7. 1200-1245 BBQ* (yum-yum, can't have a refresher without that!) Discussion on Clothing, uniforms, nutrition, hydration, fitness.
8. 1245-1330 Bike tune-up and repair tips. Typical field failures. What tools and parts to ride with. How to fix a bike out on the trail. (Arthur White from RVCC has offered to help us here. Will Cohen will also help us with this session.)
9. 1330-1430 Ride Clinic. NORBA - USA Cycling basic rules of the road - etiquette rules, basic techniques for going down hill, up hill, carries, mud, blow-downs, trees, rocks etc. (Arthur White has offered to help and Will Cohen will assist.)
10. 1430-? Done!. Go home - or go out for a fun ride if we want to.
